NORTH ZONE SKATING PROGRAMS – October to December 2021
**Subject to change as per SHA Guidelines**
The skating programs will take the beginner skater from learning to stand and walk on
skates to feeling comfortable on the ice. The skater who knows some skating techniques will get instruction to improve them. The instruction is with the use of games and fun.
The program concentrates on the basic skills of skating including balance, skating forwards
and backwards, starts, stops, and turns. Some North Zone skating instructors are: Sherry,
Catherine, Melissa, Nicole, and Trisha. Skating registration is on Wed, Sept 8, 2021 from 7 to 8 pm. at the North East Community Centre (North backside of Imperial Community School – 200 Broad St.). Cash or cheque only.
No registrations before Sept 8, 2021 will be accepted.
**Helmets and regular mitts (gloves) are mandatory for all skaters.**
Please note a current Community Association Membership is needed to register for the
Skating classes. North Zone community memberships ($5) will be available at registration.

PARENT & TOT – $80.00 (Tots age 2 + years) *Instructor will guide the activities and each skater MUST be accompanied by one adult.* Fridays: 10:00 to 10:30am; Oct 15 to Dec 8, 2021 at Jack Staples Arena SKATING (3 ½ to 5 years) – $80.00
Fridays: 10:00 to 10:45am; Oct 15 to Dec 8, 2021 at Jack Staples Arena
(Class limit – 20 skaters) SKATING (4 to 5 years) – $80.00
Thursdays: 5:45 to 6:30pm; Oct 14 to Dec 9, 2021 (no class Nov 11, 2021) at Jack Staples Arena
(Class limit – 30 skaters) SKATING SKILLS (5 to 7 years) – $80.00
* 5 yrs MUST be able to skate length of ice away from the boards*
Mondays: 5:45 to 6:30pm; Oct 18 to Dec 6, 2021 at Jack Staples Arena
(Class limit – 30 skaters) SKATING SKILLS (7 to 12 years) – $80.00
Tuesdays: 6:00 to 6:45pm; Oct 12 to Nov 30, 2021 at Jack Staples Arena
(Class limit – 30 skaters)
