lNORTH ZONE SKATING PROGRAMS January to March 2022
**Subject to change as per Sask Health Authority Guidelines**
The skating programs will take the beginner skater from learning to stand and walk on skates to feeling comfortable on the ice. The skater who knows some skating techniques will get instruction to improve them. The instruction is with the use of games and fun.
The program concentrates on the basic skills of skating including balance, skating forwards and backwards, starts, stops, and turns.
Skating registration is on Wed, Jan 12, 2022 from 7 to 8 pm. at the North East Community Centre (North backside of Imperial Community School – 200 Broad St.). Cash or cheque only.
No registrations before Jan 12, 2022 will be accepted.
**Helmet (that covers the front of the forehead) and regular mitts (gloves) are mandatory for all skaters.**
Please note a current Community Association Membership is needed to register for the Skating classes. North Zone community memberships ($5) will be available at registration. For more information: Sherry at 306-721-7577; email: northzoneregina@gmail.com.
PARENT & TOT – $80.00 (Tot’s age: 2 to 3 1⁄2 years)

LEARN TO SKATE (3 1⁄2 to 5 years) – $80.00
Fridays: 10:00 to 10:45am; Jan 21 to Mar 11, 2022, at Jack Staples Arena
(Class limit – 20 skaters)
LEARN TO SKATE (4 to 5 years) – $80.00
Thursdays: 5:45 to 6:30pm; Jan 20 to Mar 10, 2022, at Jack Staples Arena
(Class limit – 30 skaters)
SKATING (5 to 7 years) – $80.00
* 5 yrs skater MUST be able to skate length of ice away from the boards*
Mondays: 5:45 to 6:30pm; Jan 17 to Mar 14, 2022, (no class Feb 21, 2022) at Jack Staples Arena (Class limit – 30 skaters)
SKATING (7 to 12 years) – $80.00
Tuesdays: 6:00 to 6:45pm; Jan 18 to Mar 8, 2022, at Jack Staples Arena
